Mission Statement

We believe it is God's purpose that this church maintains and developes its witness to Jesus Christ in this village and area.

We seek to make Jesus known in deed and word as we serve all people in Christ's name.

We work to encourage people to become believers in Jesus Christ as Saviour Lord and follow him as his disciples.

We welcome into this family of God's people all who commit themselves to Christian discipleship and to the life of the Church of Jesus Christ.

Our Baptist Family

Baptists have been in Ashdon since 1809 when Ashdon Baptist Church was formed -and possibly before that.

The worldwide Baptist family, born in Holland in 1609, and come to England shortly after, today consists of around fifty million people in most nations of the world. We share the historical trinitarian Christian faith and cooperate with all other Christians in witnessing to Jesus Christ as Lord.

David and his wife Doris served as mission personnel in Brazil for 24 years before leading a church in London until semi-retirement in 2003, when they came to Ashdon.
